About the position
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inspection and sorting of automotive parts, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. This role involves directing employees, coordinating departmental activities, and maintaining inspection standards to meet operational goals. The supervisor will also be responsible for training new hires and keeping accurate records of inspection data and employee attendance.
Responsibilities
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the inspection and sorting of parts.
- Coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and inspection sequences to meet inspection goals.
- Observe work and monitor measuring instruments to ensure that operations conform to inspection standards.
- Train new hires on job duties.
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
- Keep records of inspection data according to job specifications.
- Observe work for the repackaging of product according to packaging standards.
- Use computer software to input data when necessary.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, inspection schedules, and other records and reports to determine inspection needs.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in quality inspection is required.
- Ability to relocate to Maryville, TN before starting work is required.
- Willingness to travel 50% is required.
