Job Summary The Quality Control Technician plays a vital role in confirming that products and service offerings align with quality standards via inspections, testing, and proper documentation. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company specifications, thus maintaining the brand's reputation and ensuring customer satisfaction. By coordinating with production teams and conducting thorough analyses, the Quality Control Technician discovers opportunities for improvement, refines quality assurance practices, and applies corrective actions as needed. Their expertise not only supports the reliable delivery of high-quality products but also contributes to the ongoing improvement of operational efficiencies.

  • Ensures products produced meet established quality standards and customer specifications throughout the manufacturing production process. This includes conducting regular inspections in various production stages and audits to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Participates in the documentation process for quality control activities, covering test outcomes, inspection reports, and corrective action strategies.
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s quality control processes, standards, and specifications to meet regulatory operation procedures and ISO9001 compliance.
  • Assists in investigating customer complaints related to quality, determine root causes, implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and assist in generating 8Ds when required.
  • Collaborates across various departments to improve workflow efficiency and ensure that the products manufactured meet the highest standards of compliance and performance.
  • Inspect incoming manufacturing materials and manage calibration schedules for all Quality Lab instruments effectively.
  • Interact with customers to review and investigate quality issues, travelling when necessary.
  • Supports the Quality Control manager in continuous quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Possible travel up to 25%
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performance maintenance teams.
  • Quality Control: Possess a high level of quality consciousness and analytical problem solving skills with the ability to distinguish colors precisely to conduct thorough quality inspections.
  • Effective Communication: Candidates must be proficient in providing clear written communication about inspections and must be able to collaborate effectively with the integrated team and/or departments.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Candidate must possess skills needed to detail, visualize and communicate many aspects of the role and function using the latest communication tools available.
  • Pre-press/Graphics/Adobe Software: Candidate must possess prepress /printing knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite software.
  • Safety compliance: Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to respirator requirements as per OSHA standards.
  • Work Style: Independent worker, combining intelligence, experience, and self-confidence to excel with minimal supervision.
  • Project management: Ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities and ensure efficient workflow.
  • A two-year technical degree or previous experience in Quality Control with a strong understanding of quality control processes and methodologies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word). Access knowledge is a plus.
  • ISO 9001 experience preferred
  • Prepress experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Software particularly Illustrator, Acrobat, and Photoshop.
  • SAP experience preferred
