About The Position

The position involves receiving and inspecting parts from customers and vendors, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards. The role includes preparing repair documents, maintaining inventory, and assisting in the management of the Quality Management System. The employee will become familiar with ISO policies and procedures and utilize computer software for inventory management and documentation.

Requirements

  • Must have H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Log in, inspect and analyze parts that are shipped/mailed in from other companies or clients for service.
  • Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.
  • Contact customers for information and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Requisition detail components and maintain inventory/stock levels.
  • Work at a computer console entering parts and become familiar with the computer software system.
  • Maintain inventory of rotable material and stock verification.
  • Assist other inspectors and employees as needed.
  • Assist in the management of the Quality Management System to ensure documented procedures are implemented and effective.
  • Utilize and implement standard work in each department.
