About The Position

The Quality Control Specialist at Evonik is responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing measures to improve the quality of the organization's final products to meet established standards. This role involves participating in customer order reviews, evaluating product compliance, creating inspection plans, and assisting in quality audits, all while ensuring adherence to industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO14001.

Requirements

• High school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality control is preferred.
• AS 9100 Internal Auditor training to be completed within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Purchase Order review meetings to review and release incoming customer orders.
• Review customer specifications to ensure compliance before accepting and releasing orders.
• Evaluate products for compliance with specifications and issue certificates of conformity.
• Create inspection test plans and first article inspection reports for product release.
• Recommend process adjustments based on quality control data and visual inspections.
• Assist in maintaining a documentation system in conformance with AS9100 standards.
• Implement maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs of lab equipment.
• Assist in writing operating procedures for quality-related tasks in the aerospace industry.
• Support internal, customer, and international quality audits.
• Investigate customer complaints and issue corrective actions.
• Provide Quality documentation for customer Source Inspectors.
• Assist in managing sub-tier suppliers to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Conduct mechanical and physical testing under international standards and document results.
• Release raw, intermediate, and finished goods physically and electronically (SAP).
• Help manage and train other technicians in the quality process.
• Contribute to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes within the Quality Management System.
