About The Position

The Quality Control/ Safety Manager will develop, implement, manage and maintain effective Quality and Safety policies and procedures that meet contract requirements and the criteria for ISO compliance in all areas as well as company and government safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience performing quality control in an industrial/technical environment.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in administrative, professional, analytical or other work related to International Organization for Standard (ISO) program or operations
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience with Global Combat Support System or required training GCSS-Army training Modules
  • Knowledge to maintain a quality management and environmental system in accordance with the applicable industry and ISO Standards as applicable.
  • Knowledge of Army logistical functions (such a Army Maintenance Programs, including, but not limited to Dispatching, Command Maintenance Discipline Program, Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services, Repair, and Determine serviceability of equipment).
  • Ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise, or promote improvements in logistical programs.
  • Possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Deltek

  • ISO 9000 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Military background, Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, enforce, and update quality control plans to drive performance using ISO 9001:2008 standards across the program and compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence relative to the work.
  • Analyze the nature and cause of errors to identify areas needing improvement in the department’s processes and systems.
  • Review, analyze, and resolve contested case reports.
  • Serve as a liaison with staff and management concerning error trends and problem areas.
  • Establish program objectives performance goals and assess progress.
  • Establish operational metrics/key indicators for process control and ongoing quality process improvements.
  • Conduct root cause/corrective action analysis.
  • Apply analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.
  • Supervise Assigned Personnel
  • Other duties as assigned
