About The Position
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician with experience in optical or precision component manufacturing to support inspection, documentation review, and day-to-day quality activities in a high-mix manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented but also adaptable and curious, with an interest in expanding their skills beyond inspection into broader quality and process support.
Requirements
- 5+ years in QC or inspection within optical manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Experience with mechanical and/or optical measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Experience in high-mix manufacturing
- Familiarity with optical inspection or metrology techniques
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of optical components and assemblies
- Verify contract conformity against drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Review and maintain quality documentation (inspection records, travelers, certificates)
- Support nonconformance reporting and basic root cause investigations
- Work closely with manufacturing to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively
- Assist with calibration, measurement system upkeep, and inspection equipment
- Contribute ideas to improve inspection methods and quality workflows
