About The Position

The Quality Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the manufacturing site's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role ensures the QMS is effective and efficient in meeting organizational objectives for quality assurance, quality control, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Manager will also lead continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and ensure products meet specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a quality/continuous improvement field.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a leadership role within a quality management or continuous improvement environment, preferably in the papermaking, converting, or printing industries.
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 certification and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to influence without authority and achieve results through collaboration.
  • Proven ability to analyze, problem solve, and generate new ideas across various business processes.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the papermaking, converting, or printing industries.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System as per ISO 9001:2015 and other customer requirements.
  • Ensure long-term compliance to the QMS through auditing and reporting.
  • Develop a professional and competent quality management department and staff.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality management techniques and methodologies.
  • Integrate the QMS to support R&D, operations, customer service, sales, and marketing functions.
  • Promote a culture of quality within the leadership team and manufacturing site.
  • Facilitate and lead continuous improvement activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action program and manage non-conforming products.
  • Resolve customer complaints and analyze claims activity for continuous improvement.
  • Report on quality key performance metrics and vendor performance.
