About The Position

Overview The Quality Control Manager must believe in, practice, and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners. Improve construction quality and trade performance through jobsite inspections pre homeowner close. Preform pre close audits, with homes meeting critical to quality criteria. Reports to Director of Customer Services. Responsibilities Undertake inspections according to our inspection and control plans Document inspection results, with approved applications Identify, reoccurring defects in process, product, or trade installation Strong working knowledge of current applicable building code Strong working knowledge of acceptable workmanship and material standards Effective at creating working reports to communicate standards to all personnel Schedule and preform quality inspection within 48 hours of written request Generate month summary report to identify areas for improvement Have a direct impact on the improvement of Home Delivery Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability: This position carries the need for critical thinking on operational processes and decision making. A high level of review and vetting of information is needed. Physical Requirements: Must have a vehicle capable of carrying supplies, valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime. Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch, or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision. Location: SOUTHGATE & Normandy Homes Neighborhoods – Various cities in the DFW Metroplex Qualifications Education: Degree preferred Experience: 5 years or more experience in new home construction Competencies: Excellent verbal communication skills Must be able to verbally communicate technical details professionally and clearly to all audiences Must be able to quickly identify errors in single-family and multifamily construction Familiar with construction sequencing and scheduling Proficient in Microsoft Office and preparing PowerPoint (or similar software) presentations Nothing in this position description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

Requirements

  • 5 years or more experience in new home construction
