About The Position

The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for quality control, quality assurance, and process control. This position ensures that products are capable of meeting or exceeding customer quality expectations. The QC Manager will work with the Process Engineer(s) to complete process, and product, development activities. This role will also manage our ISO9001:2000 certification and compliance programs.

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing and knowledge of QA/QC procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • relevant work experience will also be considered

  • A four-year college degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Conditions that consistently produce products exceeding customer quality expectations and performance standards.
  • Coordinate, investigate, and implement corrective and preventive actions related to product noncompliance, ensuring timely response and resolution of customer concerns.
  • Monitor and coordinate internal testing activities to verify product quality and suitability for customer requirements prior to shipment.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and process-control methods to monitor product performance, reduce variability, and maintain processes within established quality targets.
  • Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance Laboratory operations, including personnel oversight, testing procedures, customer testing compliance, equipment maintenance, calibration programs, and sample management requirements.
  • Develop and implement raw material inspection, testing, and grading processes to ensure incoming materials meet specifications, process capability requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Communicate quality concerns, process deviations, and raw material performance issues to plant personnel to ensure timely awareness and resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve product and process-related quality issues through structured problem-solving, data analysis, and root cause identification.
  • Analyze quality and process data to make independent, timely decisions and identify opportunities to reduce variability and improve product consistency.
  • Prepare, control, and issue Certificates of Analysis and Packing Standards to support product traceability and customer compliance requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce procedures and documentation required to ensure compliance with ISO quality management standards.
  • Manage communications and coordination with external ISO certification bodies and auditors to maintain certification and compliance readiness.
  • Train internal auditors and coordinate internal ISO audits to support ongoing compliance and continuous improvement of the quality management system.
  • Gather and analyze supporting data required for customer claims investigations and resolution activities.
