About The Position

Timberline Construction Group (TCG) is seeking a traveling Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and compliance for residential construction projects funded through CDBG-DR disaster recovery programs.
This role is responsible for monitoring project performance, verifying inspections, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring projects meet contract requirements, federal program guidelines, and Timberline quality standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in construction quality control, compliance, inspections, or project coordination
• MUST be willing to travel 90% of the time
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to track multiple residential projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CDBG-DR, disaster recovery, or federally funded housing programs preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain project records in compliance with CDBG-DR residential construction guidelines
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure work meets contract scope, schedule, and quality standards
• Verify inspections are completed and track construction milestones for each home
• Conduct site visits to confirm work is progressing according to scope and program requirements
• Maintain project information in the system of record, including construction progress, change orders, and homeowner communication
• Assist with CDBG-DR certified payroll documentation and reporting (Davis Beacon)
• Support compliance and reporting for HUD Section 3 requirements
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and program staff to ensure project compliance
