Requirements

  • The QC Manager must be an individual with a minimum of 5 years combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar size (approx. $5M+) and type (general/renovation/electrical) construction Contracts which include the major construction trades.
  • The individual must have at least 2 years experience as a QC Manager.
  • The individual must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
  • The QC Manager and all members of the QC organization must be capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in the English language.
  • OSHA 30 hour
  • USACE CQM Certification
  • Experience with Procore and RMS
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF
  • Proven experience as a QC/SSHO on similar federal projects
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards
  • Expertise with safety regulations and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Effective communication and training skills
  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results

Responsibilities

  • Develop, administer, and ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan for projects, following the Army Corps Three Phases of Control.
  • Certify that all submittals, plans, and specifications meet contract requirements, and oversee evaluations and testing by approved personnel or facilities.
  • Provide documented evaluations and corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards and minimize recurring issues.
  • Maintain hazardous material reports and coordinate pre-final and final inspections, ensuring all deficiencies are corrected and as-built documents are submitted.
  • Oversee safety management, including developing and implementing standardized Safety Programs, conducting site-specific orientations, and leading weekly safety meetings.
  • Survey project sites for compliance with safety standards, conduct accident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with company safety professionals and subcontractors to improve safety practices and ensure proper training and equipment use.
