The Quality Control Manager (QCM) position at KOMAN Sustainable Solutions involves overseeing quality control systems for construction projects at White Sands Missile Range, NM. The role requires a seasoned professional with federal construction experience to ensure compliance with project specifications, manage inspections, and collaborate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Leads the planning, development, and implementation of quality control systems for the project.
  • Facilitates preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to understand the scope of work and develop the QC plan.
  • Reviews and adjusts subcontractor drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications.
  • Records daily quality control inspections of construction sites and reviews daily field logs and reports.
  • Conducts follow-up inspections to verify work is performed according to contract documents.
  • Manages non-conformance notices and requests for information with corrective actions.
  • Collaborates with the project superintendent and manager to manage and resolve issues.
  • Operates RMS software to interface with daily QC reports and other documentation.
  • Coordinates with Government project management personnel and subcontractors to ensure proper QC procedures are maintained.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains project submittal logs and quality control reports.
  • Ensures a high level of internal and external customer service and investigates quality-related issues.
  • Manages contractor and government punch list items before final inspection.
  • Develops and analyzes statistical data and contract specifications to establish quality standards.
  • Submits project close-out documents including manuals and warranties.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a QA/AC in Construction.
  • Previous experience with USACE projects preferred.
  • Previous experience using RMS software is preferred.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and gain access to federal and/or military institutions.
  • Strong technical skills to manage critical Quality Control issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently.
  • Completed or ability to complete CQM-C training and OSHA 30 within the first 90 days of employment.
