About The Position

The Processing Quality Control Lead will manage the overall quality control procedures throughout our manufacturing plant. This vital role works closely with the Processing Quality Supervisor, Plant Manager and the Shift Supervisors regarding Quality programs, product quality results, and process discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor food security measures and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Train employees on job requirements, safety hazards, and continuous process improvement initiatives
• Lead and manage the Processing Quality Team, including interviewing, selecting, and training quality personnel
• Sample and evaluate various attributes of eggs, document results, and communicate findings effectively to supervisor if results fall below an acceptable standard
• Work with resident USDA Inspectors to ensure all processes and finished goods are in compliance
• Observe all stages of packaging to ensure eggs are properly packaged, labeled, and loaded; ensure counts are correct for each customer order
• Carry out and document non-conformances and corrective actions
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming goods
• Inspect and calibrate monitoring equipment
• Maintain accurate records
• Perform product food safety/quality related lab testing and be observant of supplies; notify Quality Supervisor if supplies are low
• Other duties as assigned
