Requirements

  • High School degree or GED
  • 4+ years of quality experience
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, customer standards, and purchase order requirements
  • Basic knowledge and experience with computers including word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments and tools
  • Advanced knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009
  • Good time management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and standards

Nice To Haves

  • Defense/Aerospace Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performing product inspections per internal, customer, and industry requirements as assigned based on training and experience.
  • Dimensional and Visual Inspection of mechanical and electrical parts from internal and external suppliers using scopes and hand gages.
  • Recording and maintaining logs of type and number of defects.
  • Communicating findings to production team members, engineers, and management.
  • Reviewing material test reports and special process certificates against drawings and purchase order requirements.
  • Performing First Article Inspections and creating report of findings.
  • Preparing NCR's to document defects in accordance with facility requirements.
  • Separating rejected parts and assemblies and identifying defect locations on the assembly.
  • Performing audits and familiarizing employees with established processes, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Creating inspection test plans and bubble drawings to facilitate inspection data collection and control plan definition.
  • Reconciling and creating packages of final inspection documentation for shipments.
