Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Inspector (2nd Shift) position at our McKinney, TX location. The effective candidate will work from planning sheets, blueprints, quality control specifications, oral and written instructions, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically, a HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience is working in a manufacturing / assembly environment
  • Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and/or rulers
  • Experience reading technical drawings, blueprints, and/or work instructions
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Solder Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) Joint Standard 001 (IPC-J-STD-001)
  • Experience conducting Audits per a defined Quality Management System
  • Experience with hardware returned from the field (Mission Support)
  • Previous experience with Military Specifications (MIL Specs), and Process Specifications
  • Experience with FAI, First Article Inspection, AS9102
  • Experience inspecting and using a Manufacturing reporting System to document observations and defects
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Inspect for final acceptance, all types and series of electronic hardware to determine that rework, modification, and repairs conform to contractual/drawing requirements.
  • Inspect and accept electronic hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship, and drawing specifications; by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints, and terminals, using appropriate inspection devices.
  • Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records as required.
  • Meet necessary certifications as required.
  • Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.
