Quality Control Inspector (US Rod)
About The Position
Q2 Artificial Lift Services (ALS) has 40+ repair and service facilities located across the Canada and the U.S. Our service locations are supported by a world-class manufacturing operation (API & ISO Certified), plus a highly skilled engineering and optimization group. Q2 ALS manufactures high quality individual pump parts in the Oil and Gas Industry. We offer a complete product line of barrels, plungers, fittings, accessories and heat treated tubing needed for downhole pump installations. US Rod in Nappanee, Indiana is sourcing for a Quality Control Inspector. This position works 5AM - 3:30PM Monday through Thursday, 5AM - 1:30PM Friday (as required).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Possess basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Sitting, bending, standing, walking 8-10 hours per day.
- Able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must comply with all safety and PPE requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an API Q1/ISO 9001:2015 environment a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform material and product tests using quality lab test equipment and formal testing methods.
- Perform in-process audits and internal audits to verify standard operating procedures are being followed.
- Maintain quality records and samples per written procedures.
- Work with production supervisors within a team environment in meeting customer quality requirements and solve quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with all manufacturing personnel, next shift personnel and others in a professional manner.
- Assist Quality Manager as directed.
- Prepare records, reports and enter data to provide documentation and to support Quality department.
