Job Description: The Quality Control Inspector – Visual Inspection is a hands-on, inspection-focused role within our manufacturing environment. This position is primarily responsible for performing detailed visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process, including Incoming, In-Process, and Final inspections. This is an on-site position based in Long Beach, CA and requires on-site presence five days a week.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Quality Inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing visual inspections as a regular part of prior roles.
  • Proficiency using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong understanding of GDP, cGMP, and QMS requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience generating inspection documentation and nonconformance reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Basic familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, and handling inspection tools for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on visual inspections as a primary job function, including repetitive inspection of components and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), First Article Inspections (FAI), and Final Quality Control (FQC).
  • Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality issues through detailed visual examination.
  • Maintain focus and accuracy while performing inspection tasks for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
  • Accurately document inspection results in compliance with cGMP and Hydrafacial’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Generate inspection records, first article documentation, and certification packages.
  • Create and document nonconformance reports when discrepancies are identified.
  • Use conventional inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to verify measurements and specifications.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is properly qualified and calibrated prior to use.
  • Review product build documentation and end-item data packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate quality issues clearly and professionally to leads and managers.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and quality operations.
