About The Position

Now hiring an experienced Quality Control Inspector for a Cable manufacturing company in Milton, FL. The Quality Control Inspector will perform daily inspections of ALL incoming materials, in-process materials, final assembly materials, and will also be responsible for completing all necessary reports. The selected individual will be part of a growing, fast paced global manufacturer and will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. We are an ISO-9001 Certified OEM manufacturer. We provide integral components for solar and wind farm development as well as electrical cabling for key industrial markets including the Oil & Gas, Communications and Irrigation markets. Requirements

  • Must be able to read basic electrical and/or assembly drawings.
  • Must be able to use a variety of measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and micrometers (in both Metric and Standard units of measure).
  • Must have previous ISO-9001 or comparable QMS experience.
  • Must have better than average computer skills.
  • MINIMUM of 1-year experience with reading/interpreting basic electrical assembly drawings.
  • MINIMUM of 1-year experience working with computers AND is proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must complete a pre-employment background check (having something on your record does NOT eliminate you from this position, we take everything on an individual "case-by-case" basis)
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must have Steel-toed boots.
  • Must have RELIABLE transportation to Milton FL.
  • High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with wire, cable, wire harnesses, and/or electrical assembly& testing is preferred but NOT required.
  • At least 1-Year of Quality Control experience is preferred but NOT required

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming inspection on specific products that are identified by management as critical.
  • Perform daily "in-process" inspections.
  • Perform basic lab tests on random samples of incoming materials as required by management.
  • Perform daily "finished goods" inspections.
  • Perform equipment calibrations as required.
  • Complete all documentation as it relates to the daily inspection process and/or lab test.
  • Assist in the processing of "Returned Goods" for the field, and then issue the appropriate reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

  • ALL hours over 40-hrs will be paid at "Time-and-a-half"
  • You are open to work more hours if they are available
  • EXPECT to work a MINIMUM of 40-60 hours a week
  • This position is Temp to Hire.
  • No benefits are offered during the Temp period.
