About The Position

Inspect parts, products and/or processes to insure conformance with standards. Inspects materials or products using fixed or variable measuring instruments. Checks for irregularities and defects. Compares product with parts list to ensure completion of assembly. Verifies specified dimensions on product or material by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Goal: Inspect homes to ensure that they are built to code, they are PFS approved, and have good quality. Responsibilities include the following: Inspect daily for quality, appearance, and code items. This is done on-line in varying stations. Mark areas of the home that need repair or additional work. Call supervisors to come repair any issues. Red Tag homes if they need fixed off-line before shipment. Re-inspect homes that need more serious repairs. Keep a daily LINE WALK log to help identify repeats for the plant manager and QC manager. Scan in the line walk sheet and email it out daily. Log in the CCI items from the PFS write ups and email the report out as needed. Copy RTS pictures over into the M: drive every week. Cover RTS as needed. Shingle inspections need done at least twice a week. Scan in the report and email it out. Mate line measurement needs done at least once a week. Scan and send report out on this. Monthly - Do the critical item check list every month. Scan and email it to the QC Manager. Monthly - Do the fastener chart report every month. Scan and email it out. Weekly - Do testing (gas, electric, and DWV) audits. Scan and email them to QC Manager. Check Foam rooms, truss inspection, product rotation/storage, etc on a weekly basis. Update DAPIA manuals in the plant and in the Foreman offices. PLANT A added responsibility below: Label Mods with PFS label, state labels, and data plates. File the EOM (end of month) reports for PFS and required States. Complete mod check requests for state labels. Order labels as needed. Update modular log with label #'s, approval #'s, run #, dates, and addresses. Use the modular cheat sheets and Mod Inspector Training Notes for a more detailed list of what needs done daily/weekly/monthly. Additional duties may be assigned or added.

  • High School degree or G.E.D.
  • one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
