Sanmina Corporation has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world. The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services. Job Purpose: Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or college courses.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality assurance experience in a SMT and PTH manufacturing.
  • Experience reading and interpreting Bill of Materials (BOM), workmanship standards and customer engineering specifications
  • Experience with basic inspection equipment and measurement such as, but not limited to bore gauge, caliper, micrometer, pin gauges, etc.
  • Competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and data analysis.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be flexible in regards to overtime availability and work with minimal supervision
  • This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hand solder SMT and PTH components
  • Perform inspections to determine the quality of both metal components and electromechanical assemblies, visually and dimensionally
  • Based upon internal and customer supplied workmanship standards and drawing specifications and final assembly inspection
  • Perform receiving inspection on incoming purchased components and raw materials.
  • Determine and assist in developing methods and procedures for quality inspection and control.
  • Apply final labels or markings as required to demonstrate product acceptance.
  • Document and communicate any non-conformances identified during inspection activities.
  • Complete daily reports of inspection activities.
