About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and implementation of safety and quality control inspections for all assigned work environments and personnel required on the contract. Work independently, receiving minimal supervision and guidance to address challenges and assist in resolution processes necessary to handle QC and Safety issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Two Years’ Experience in QC/Safety related field.
  • Intermediate skill in the use of MS Office Suite.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Training
  • Extensive Knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 Regulations
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level per contract requirement.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in related field.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education based on two (2) years’ experience for each year of education.
  • Construction Quality Management for Contractors Training via US Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Experience in a Facility Maintenance Position.
  • ISO Internal Auditor certification highly desirable.
  • Quality control and Safety inspection experience in a service-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and helps maintain the Quality Control (QC) and Safety Plans that are tailored to the contract and encompass all facets of the functional operation of the contract.
  • Plans, organizes, and provides QC inspections for all assigned work environments and personnel.
  • Identifies and works compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of the contract.
  • Inspects work for discrepancies in accordance with the QA/QC/Safety plan and contract requirements.
  • Conducts safety and QC inspections of contract functions to ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Completes necessary QC and Safety reports and documentation required to support findings of non-compliance and safety violations.
  • Maintain SeeSOR and Industry Safe databases and update as required to provide for accurate reports regarding QA/QC/Safety.
  • Implement working environment in compliance with OSHA 1910 and 1926 safety regulations.
  • Review and inspect site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans, procedures, guides, and regulations.
  • Preparing incident reports and document analysis, cause/effect and actions taken (photos as required).
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors with respect to QA/QC/Safety.
  • Plans and organizes work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Responds to emergency site maintenance as required or requested.
  • Originates necessary documents, forms, reports, etc. and queries various computer work systems to extract information concerning projects, materials, or services.
  • Conduct QA/QC/Safety meetings and training when requested; develops training materials as required.
  • Keeps Quality Manager and Program Manager apprised of any unique situations and problems encountered.
  • Inspects completed and in-progress work to ensure appropriate standards are met for the functional areas of contract performance, providing reports as required.
  • Performs audits and inspections of internal processes and controls, evaluating the effectiveness of programs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
