About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring manufactured parts meet company and customer quality standards. This role involves inspecting parts, documenting results, and working closely with production to identify and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and machine operations
  • Understanding of safety procedures and quality standards
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Willingness to assist with production and floor coverage when needed
  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Quality Control experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

  • Approval of production samples for shift and/or job start up
  • Perform inspections with the use of calipers, balance machine, micrometers, gauges, and visual inspection techniques
  • Monitor quality work in progress and communicate any defects or concerns to supervisors
  • Document inspection results in 4D database to maintain accurate quality records
  • Approve or reject parts based on established criteria and initiate non-conformance report
  • Quarantine and sort suspect parts, as needed
  • Communicate quality concerns to production, supervisors, and management
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ISO standards, and internal procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
  • Other duties as assigned
