About the position

The Quality Control Inspector position is a full-time role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, responsible for performing inspections on machined components to ensure they meet strict specifications. The inspector will utilize various precision measuring instruments and maintain organized documentation processes while working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined components.
• Inspect parts meeting specifications as tight as ±.0002” on various materials including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, and titanium.
• Work from job travelers, manufacturing drawings, and sketches to determine product conformance.
• Check dimensions and quality of work using optical comparators, indicators, micrometers, calipers, pitch micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards.
• Interact and communicate effectively with coworkers at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in machining quality control.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and inspection instructions.
• Experience in a job shop environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Zeiss Calypso CMM software is a plus.
• Experience with High QA Quality Management software.
