About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector position involves executing quality control processes per purchased product, manufacturing operations, and customer quality requirements. The role includes inspection of printed circuit boards and assemblies (PCB/PCBAs), verification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components, and cable assemblies. The inspector will utilize various tools such as calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, and Vision Measuring Machines (VMMs) for inspections. Documentation of inspection activities is required using electronic information systems, written logs, and labels. The inspector will also assist in the development, maintenance, and improvements of inspection methods, inspection plans, and internal quality procedures and processes. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the resolution of internal/external nonconformance using root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies, as well as data analysis and reporting of department metrics. Continuous improvement initiatives and the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations are also part of the responsibilities. The inspector will help control and dispose of non-conforming material (MRB) and drive scheduling of day-to-day processes to ensure timely and accurate turnaround.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher (Associate Degree in a technical field preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in PCB/PCBA inspection required.
  • Experience with PCB/PCBA Boards.
  • Experience with microscope visual inspections.
  • Experience with AS9100 OR ISO9001 Quality Management Systems along with IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the resolution of audit findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Assist with the control and disposition of non-conforming material (MRB).
  • Drive scheduling of day-to-day processes; ensure timely and accurate turnaround.
  • Other QC duties as assigned.
