About The Position

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector I to be based out of Pueblo, Colorado. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality Control Inspector I will be responsible for performing quality control tests and inspection of product and determines root causes of any quality variances.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge and experience troubleshooting, problem solving, and identifying quality issues
  • Good understanding of math skills required for quick and accurate counting, calculations and measurements including radius, inside and outside diameter, length, temperatures both Celsius and Fahrenheit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Plans and schedules work as needed, prioritizing tasks, and anticipating needs to accomplish all tasks and minimize testing backlog.
  • Works reliably at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Two years previous Quality Control experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality by periodic inspection of daily production throughout the plant using various measuring devices
  • Accurate and timely performance of various quality control tests per shift based on Standard Procedure
  • Verify elbows are produced within acceptable standards for radius and diameter
  • Verify swedge production meets all standards
  • Prepare samples for conducting various tests according to Standard Procedure
  • Procure equipment calibrations as required per procedure. Report to supervisor any equipment malfunctions or other issues which need correction
  • Perform Reporting on compression testing
  • Properly dispose of all test samples and/or raw materials used in testing
  • Maintain accurate historical testing results in an organized fashion
  • Confirm all testing equipment in excellent condition. Properly clean and maintain each shift
  • Follow Hold Tag procedures
  • Disposition product as to rework or scrap when necessary
  • Work with customer service to address all customer complaint issues and provide resolution
  • Maintain open communication with co-workers, shift lead, and supervisor to ensure continual operation
  • Perform routine and light maintenance tasks as directed by management
  • Responsible for housekeeping in assigned area
  • Perform routine tasks as directed by management
