About The Position

Join Pace as a Quality Control Inspector, where you will perform inspections and tests on in-process and finished products to ensure quality standards and process controls are met throughout the manufacturing process. You will generate the appropriate documentation, records, and reports while supporting quality, engineering, and manufacturing as needed. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards that Pace is known for in the die casting industry.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or prior quality inspection background is required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for candidates with limited experience in quality control.
  • Ability to perform moderately heavy lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Dexterity to access and remove sample parts or products during the manufacturing process.
  • Ability to sit, stand for long periods, bend, stoop, walk, and ascend/descend stairs.
  • Technical skills to understand technical documents, manuals, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and tests on in-process and finished products as defined in procedures and work instructions.
  • Generate documentation, records, and reports related to quality control.
  • Support quality, engineering, and manufacturing departments as needed.
  • Calibrate and measure specifications using numeracy skills.
  • Take initiative and work independently without direction.
  • Monitor products or parts for compliance and detail-oriented inspections.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and inspectors for visual inspections.
  • Perform mechanical inspections of castings.
  • Read and understand inspection reports and provide feedback to supervisors.
  • Inspect and pack shipments daily.
  • Record inspections at specified frequencies and lot sizes according to quality control procedures.
  • Perform audits to ascertain quality.
  • Tag suspect parts and send them to the designated holding area.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in necessary training programs.
  • Follow all safety rules and policies as per OSHA guidelines and company procedures.
