Quality Control Field Technician

About The Position

Under the direction of the Field Supervisor, the Field technician travels to various projects, aggregate pits and lab/job sites throughout UT to obtain samples and preform asphalt/soil density. Requirements

Experience but not necessary in gravel and asphalt quality control field testing.
Must have the ability to work independently.
Intermediate level of computer skills.
Must be able to work day, swing and night shifts and be willing to travel.
Must have a clean driving record and be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
Must be able to move up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

Pull and split asphalt samples from construction jobs, conduct coring and asphalt density testing.
Pull and split soil samples, conduct soils density testing.
Report test results to the plant.
Perform data filing and quality assurance sample storage.
Responsible for the input of tracking data into the lab database.
Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times.
