About The Position

This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced Quality Engineering Leader that is results-oriented and demonstrates a passion and responsibility for quality manufacturing. You will be responsible for the planning, developing, and implementing techniques, processes, and procedures for controlling and maintaining the desired level of quality for all materials produced.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science-based/engineering field preferred
  • Proven ISO 9001-2015 experience and lead auditing
  • Experience with PPAP’s and working with third-party testing facilities is strongly desired
  • Prior ERP system experience: Microsoft D365 a real plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Minitab and Power BI
  • Experience and ability to lead all documentation requirements (i.e., certs, COA’s, & MTR’s)
  • Demonstrated skills in a quality and industrial manufacturing work environment is required; 2 to 5 years of proven related experience
  • Knowledge, understanding and direct experience in all facets of leading a testing facility
  • Experience with leading all functions of a manufacturing quality and testing lab
  • Knowledge and experience reconciling customer requests and needs with manufacturing capabilities and standards
  • Experience in statistical process analysis methods; Lean Principles/Continuous Improvement/Six-sigma preferred
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Well organized and proactive with attention to detail
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment a must across all facets of the business
  • Support with credentials needed for periodic overseas travel requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product inspections and testing
  • Assist with new testing processes as required
  • Assess values against established specifications
  • Classify nonconforming material as necessary
  • Prepare and present QA metrics
  • Enter quality data in the ERP system and maintain quality records that are legible and easily retrieved
  • Data collection with plant floor operation presence
  • Maintain calibrations of lab and measurement equipment
  • Lead internal audits
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Partner with the Production Team and Customer Service Team on identifying root causes for defects
  • Participate in Gemba floor walks
  • Be customer centric and facing; develop and maintain relationships
  • Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System to agreed upon standards
  • Manage all quality-related activities associated with the QA Lab
  • Ensure that operations in all areas of the business are carried out to technical standards and no non-conforming material reaches customers
  • Reconcile customer requests and concerns by presenting appropriate data and standards
  • Collect and analyze product quality data to identify trends, report, and take all necessary corrective actions
  • As a Lead Auditor, liaise with all external accreditation bodies, ensure all accreditation requirements are continually met and respond to non-conformities as required
  • Confirm all materials are tested to the required standards in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure thorough on-going assessment of the quality team that all staff have the required training, skills, knowledge, and flexibility to meet the ongoing changing needs of the business
  • Collaborate with global quality team
  • Lead continuous improvements in a disciplined manner
