About The Position

Requirements

BS degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years of related work experience in quality control or quality assurance in a military product environment
Previous experience serving in the US military in an equipment repair or QC related role or previous experience with military contracting/manufacturing
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to work full time
Must be US citizen with ability to secure a US Government security clearance; Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to export controlled data.
Required Essential Functions include: the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and lift up to 10 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devise methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Develop and analyze statistical data and specifications to indicate present product standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and inspection protocols to ensure compliance with product specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct root cause analysis and investigation of quality issues, non-conformities, and customer complaints to identify underlying causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to define quality requirements, establish critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics, and validate product designs and processes.
Design and execute statistical process control (SPC) studies, capability analyses, and process audits to monitor and improve process stability, capability, and performance.
Lead and support failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), risk assessments, and design of experiments (DOE) to identify potential failure modes, assess risks, and optimize product designs and processes.
Develop and maintain inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation in compliance with quality management system (QMS) requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Utilize quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing) to analyze data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance productivity.
Provide training and guidance to production teams and quality teammates on quality control methods, techniques, and best practices.
Participate in supplier quality management activities, including supplier audits, supplier corrective actions, and supplier development initiatives to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
Support customer audits, inspections, and inquiries related to quality control processes, product quality, and regulatory compliance
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence throughout the organization by actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
