The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for resolving customer, supplier, internal, and warranty quality problems by investigating and analyzing processes. This role requires the individual to report to customers or top management when necessary and to champion countermeasure activities with customers, suppliers, and internally to prevent reoccurrence of issues. The engineer will develop effective long-term relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring timely containment and corrective actions are in place for quality problems. Additionally, the engineer will lead quality improvement activities to prevent nonconformance and reduce associated costs, work with various departments to issue customer Product Change Requests (PCR) and Engineering Change Instructions (ECI), and establish quality demands for new models. The position instills a “Zero Defect” mentality with suppliers and internally.
