Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • First-hand experience in quality assurance in a warehouse distribution environment preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; and the warehouse management system.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with others in a close working environment.
  • Work as a team with internal and external employees of the company; ability to work effectively with other staff members to accomplish tasks and departmental projects.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; to manage competing demands; to manage priorities amidst frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong sense of urgency to meet established deadlines
  • Work overtime on the weekends if necessary.
  • Occasionally work alternate shifts
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time
  • Overhead reaching and lifting required. Bending, standing, stooping, pushing, and pulling required
  • Must be able to carry up to 35 pounds consistently, up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Required to work in a physical environment that is subject to temperature changes, movement of mobile and fixed equipment that require detailed hand movements and coordination, possible exposure to dust and other conditions associated with a warehouse operation

Responsibilities

  • Work on the floor in the warehouse 90% of the day. 10% office work for reporting requirements.
  • Complete daily audits, picking error forms, quality reports, & document errors for employee.
  • Completing & shipping quality orders as needed.
  • Clear outbound audit station of system or quality issues when necessary.
  • Work closely with all Supervisors and the Shift Manager to determine the areas not up to standards.
  • Transfers to other functions within the DC as directed by the supervisor on an as needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
