The QC Transportation Auditor implements quality control to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. Conducts internal audits IAW ISO 9001:2015 in the Transportation Department that includes, but not limited to, Freight, Rail, TMP and Personal Property operations. The Auditor understands and applies ISO concepts, principles, and requirements. Inspects and audits all phases of a variety of services or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled), communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and documents results of all inspections. May also conduct audits and provide other assistance in other functional Departments. Plans and completes work independently. Performs independent analysis, determines scope and course of action required, and develops plans to resolve transportation related problems. Monitors and ensures timely resolution of problems. Reviews procedures, work instructions, and other documents to enhance transportation functions. Provides subject matter expertise and advice in all transportation related functions.
