The Quality Control Associate supports the company’s quality assurance program by inspecting materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in preventing defects, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe, compliant manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in manufacturing, production, or quality inspection preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, work instructions and measuring tools
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections of materials and finished products to confirm specifications and industry standards are me
  • Observe manufacturing processes and work with production staff to ensure adherence to established protocols and standards
  • Work with production staff and other departments to implement quality control procedures and resolve quality issues
  • Verify that processes and products comply with industry standards, regulations (such as ISO), and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify defects, communicate the results of inspections and report quality concerns to supervisors
  • Maintain records of all quality control activities, ensuring they are accurate and follow good documentation practices.
  • Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests
  • Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
  • Sort and segregate defective material for return, replacement, or disposal (scrap)
  • Keep measuring equipment by following operating instructions and calling for repairs and/or calibration
  • Complete required training and certifications
  • Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
