About The Position

Quality Control Associate II Summary Perform analytical and microbiological testing; data review; and/or related activities that support QC operations. The Opportunity You adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), while embodying the Genentech/Roche Core Competencies. You maintain accountability for all deliverables, ensuring they contribute to both departmental and organizational goals. Providing quality support and oversight for internal and external customers, and actively ensure the organization remains in a constant state of inspection readiness. You proactively identify and resolve technical problems and gaps in systems/procedures through training and ongoing efforts. Supporting and integrating Environmental Health, Safety, and Security into all business processes, reporting any related incidents or suggestions.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Biological sciences and 2 - 4 years of experience.
  • Masters Degree in Biological sciences and 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience is preferred.
  • Microbiology experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad variety of basic and moderately complex tests with documentation according to GMP
  • Review data and assess against established acceptance criteria for basic to moderately complex methods.
  • Prepare and maintain reagents per established procedures.
  • Coordinate with customers to support basic to moderately complex operational activities.
  • Work to meet schedules.
  • Participate in assay transfer and/or assay validation as needed.
  • Receive and provide basic to moderately complex training. Assist in design of training material as necessary.
  • Works under only very general supervision and guidance, with more detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Works with manager to establish priorities and timelines.
  • Identify discrepancies and propose actions for remediation.
  • Identify and support resolution of basic to moderately complex technical problems.
  • Actively participate in group and project teamwork; project and process improvements
  • Support the maintenance and compliance of operational areas.
  • Support compliance audits.
