The Quality Control Assistant Manager position is a key leadership role within an electric vehicle mass-production facility located in Savannah, GA. This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality standards for completed vehicles through effective inspection methods, team management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Assistant Manager will oversee quality control operations, manage staff performance, and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality and compliance with industry standards.

  • Establish and improve inspection methods to prevent post-process issues.
  • Manage attendance tracking and feedback with the team.
  • Analyze vehicle defects, recommend corrective actions, and conduct audits.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to foster continuous improvement within the quality and production teams.
  • Manage quality facilities and equipment, including budget planning and execution.
  • Prepare for external events and support new vehicle projects by ensuring quality standards and effective evaluation responses.
  • Oversee systems, operations, and staff performance evaluation.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of processes and quality management systems.
  • Monitor vehicle faults and manage corrective actions for non-conformity detected in audits.
  • Ensure procedures and systems comply with legal and reference standards.
  • Plan and control quality certifications and prepare troubleshooting reports.
  • Establish annual operational and budget plans.
  • Implement corrective actions in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop training plans to improve skills and maintain a high-performing workforce through mentoring and coaching.
  • Bachelor's degree required (STEM preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related job experience in Quality Control or automobile-related teams.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Microsoft 365 products.
  • Strong skills in teamwork, planning, problem-solving, and communication.
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability for transformational changes.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and make decisions based on logical reasoning and experience.
