About The Position

PQA/NQC Quality Control Analyst is responsible for performing the following functions on contractor furnished material (CFM) and equipment including, but not limited to: Review supplier provided certifications for adherence to purchase order requirements Review supplier approved procedures Review supplier test records Review supplier weld and NDT records Processing of material receipts though Oracle, MQS, MRPII, SPARS, and ApplCore systems Demonstrate competency in understanding Electric Boat procedures and policies Coordinate and work with Supervisors and Inspectors on proper handling of procedures, inspection plans and work flows Work with Supplier Quality and Engineering as needed Adjudicate material deficiencies through the ER/CR process and work to engineering dispositions Review and understand SSP’s, SP’s, MDD’s, SDD’s, Company Policies and Procedures Train new hires in various commodities Lead independent research for lessons learned Identify and implement ways to improve and streamline job functions and responsibilities Maintain department goals for participation and implementation of process improvements

Requirements

  • 4+ years as a Quality Control Analyst
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Knowledge of MS office, Oracle ERP, Excel, Applcore
  • Applicant must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance as a condition of employment
  • Must possess basic mathematical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicant will be required to work in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational and department goals
  • Applicant must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and VPAR’s
  • Must be able to navigate Email and MS Office programs effectively.
