About The Position

The Quality Control Analyst position at Florida State University involves analyzing film data for the football team and opponents, providing detailed reports and strategic insights to the coaching staff and players. This role supports the team's preparation through statistical analysis, video editing, and game day preparations, while also assisting with the walk-on program and special projects assigned by coaching staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years.
• Experience using XOS video editing software.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of offensive/defensive schemes, practice, and game plans, offensive/defensive playbooks and game books at the collegiate level.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes film data on the current team and opponents and provides summary reports and analysis to the coaching staff and players.
• Assists with the coordination of daily administrative support, statistical analyses, and opponent preparation.
• Coordinates video cuts and distributes preliminary offensive, defensive, and special teams scouting reports.
• Assists in self-scouting offensive, defensive, and special team's schemes.
• Supports the walk-on program with research of prospective student-athletes.
• Travels with the coaching staff and team to provide statistical support.
• Identifies weaknesses in plays and suggests new strategies to the coaching staff in practice.
• Responsible for overall game day preparation, statistical analysis, and video analysis of opposing teams.
• Analyzes opposing team strategy, charts tendencies, and proposes strategic plays.
• Assists with special projects assigned by the Defensive Coordinator, Offensive Coordinator, and Head Football Coach.
