About The Position

We are a logistics company that focuses on the repair, refurbishment and re-manufacturing of pallets. The position involves using a hammer and/or saw to correct quality issues in the assembly pallets, lifting pallets to examine them, removing defective boards, and correcting nail-related issues. The role requires understanding pallet specifications and modifications necessary for customers, as well as troubleshooting jams and performing basic maintenance of the quality control station.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Basic tool knowledge is a plus.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying and flipping of 75-to-85-pound pallets.

Responsibilities

• Uses a hammer and/or saw to correct quality issues in the assembly pallets.
• Lifts pallet to examine pallet, removes defective boards, and corrects nail related issues.
• Understands pallet specifications and modification necessary for customers.
• Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of quality control station.
• Inspects pallets visually for defects including broken boards, missing components, nail defects, debris, and contamination.
• Corrects defects that do not meet specification criteria.
• Removes damaged boards with pry bar/hammer.
• Cleans area during and at end of shift.
• May be required to work frequent overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts.
• Performs other duties as required.
