About The Position

The position involves various responsibilities related to quality control and production processes. The individual will be responsible for preparing First Piece Reports for each line running, conducting ink color checks, and performing all special testing required by procedures. Additionally, the role includes performing hourly quality checks, line audits, and maintaining proper filing of spec sheets. The individual will also audit blank bottle finished goods lines in production, conduct daily plant walkthroughs to identify issues, and ensure accurate information is communicated to the production floor. The position requires participation in new projects, customer focus, and training on AVBIS and new equipment usage. Safety is a priority, and the individual will evaluate and maintain a safe work environment, inspect work areas for unsafe conditions, and perform cleaning and sorting duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have been a qualified back-up QC Inspector or a qualified Packer/Selector.
  • Good attendance and dependability in current position.
  • Good reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
  • Ability to perform continuous lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting.
  • Cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare First Piece Reports for each line running.
  • Conduct ink color checks.
  • Perform all special testing required by procedures.
  • Perform overflows as required.
  • Conduct hourly quality checks.
  • Line audit while collecting hourly samples and during free time.
  • Keep spec sheets organized and filed appropriately.
  • Audit blank bottle finished goods lines in production.
  • Conduct daily plant walkthroughs to identify issues.
  • Perform last shot measurement and visual analysis.
  • Ensure correct information is communicated to the production floor.
  • Participate in new projects for testing and measurement.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Train on AVBIS and new equipment usage.
  • Evaluate and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Inspect work areas for unsafe acts/conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform sweeping, cleaning, and sorting duties as necessary.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
