About The Position

Be the leader who educates, empowers, and keeps the center inspection-ready. Children’s Choice Learning Center is seeking an experienced early childhood professional to serve as our Quality & Compliance Lead . This role is ideal for someone who is highly knowledgeable in Texas Minimum Standards , stays current on regulatory updates, and is motivated to educate, coach, and engage staff to consistently meet licensing and quality expectations. The Quality & Compliance Lead serves as a proactive compliance champion and staff educator , working closely with leadership and classroom teams to ensure standards are not only understood—but practiced daily. This is a hands-on, influential role focused on prevention, preparedness, staff development, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated, working knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards is required
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, training, or quality-focused experience in a licensed child care center is required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to educate adults clearly and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret, apply, and explain written standards
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and drive results
  • Associate’s degree or higher required (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred)
  • Willingness to complete all required background checks and training

Nice To Haves

  • Experience educating or coaching staff on compliance or quality expectations strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting licensing compliance, inspections, or TRS participation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers
  • Stay current on licensing updates, rule changes, and best practices, and proactively communicate updates to staff
  • Conduct routine classroom walk-throughs to monitor supervision, safety, and compliance practices
  • Identify compliance risks, gaps, or trends and proactively address them with leadership
  • Educate and coach staff on licensing standards, compliance expectations, and quality practices
  • Translate standards into clear, practical expectations staff can understand and implement
  • Support inspection readiness through documentation review, organization, and follow-through
  • Assist leadership in maintaining and advancing the center’s Texas Rising Star (TRS) quality standards
  • Support preparation for licensing visits, audits, and quality reviews
  • Track recurring issues and corrective actions to support long-term improvement
  • Model professionalism, accountability, and a quality-first mindset
