The Quality/Compliance Lead will oversee and manage quality control as well as food safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with corporate quality and food safety guidelines, driving continuous improvement efforts to optimize plant performance. This position will lead audits, food safety testing, and validate SOP compliance to uphold quality and food safety standards to promote a culture of excellence within the plant. The Quality/Compliance Lead will act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, addressing quality and food safety concerns and fostering strong relationships with the CCPS Compliance Team and on-site management.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and validate quality audits across the plant, ensuring all processes align with corporate policies, goals, and quality objectives.
  • Train and develop plant personnel on quality guidelines and best practices, promoting a continuous improvement mindset and fostering quality awareness across teams.
  • Track and report key quality performance metrics, including Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL), Pest Control Program (PCP) compliance, and customer complaints.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, including customer complaints and rejected loads, using root cause corrective actions (RCCA) and implementing preventive measures.
  • Maintain and manage quality-related documentation, ensuring all records meet corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with regional quality teams and internal stakeholders to address plant-specific quality concerns and ensure consistency in quality management across locations.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects targeting quality systems and processes, working with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance operational performance.
  • Responsible for conducting all quality audits and food safety testing and reporting results.
  • Ensure plant and plant personnel operate within CCPS quality and food safety guidelines.
  • Validate production work instructions, SOP’s, job responsibilities, and equipment handling are being followed.
  • Validate repair work instructions, SOP’s, and equipment handling are being followed.
  • Implement new quality and food safety processes at the plant.
  • Track performance on quality and food safety and report to Regional Operations Manager, CCPS Compliance Team, and Plant Manager.
  • Work with CCPS Compliance Team on rejections and or customer complaints and address them with the Plant Manager.
  • Conduct reverse audits on rejected loads and assist Compliance Analyst with informal and or formal CAR’s pertaining to rejections.
  • Validate internal CAR’s pertaining to rejections are completed in accordance with SOP.
  • Maintain all quality and food safety documents for personnel training.
  • Assist Compliance Analyst and Regional Operations Manager to review quality related concerns or issues at the site level.
  • Lead CCPS Compliance projects targeting quality systems and continuous process improvements.
  • Perform quality and food safety aspect of orientation training and walkthroughs with new hires.
  • Assist Compliance Analyst with PCP certification for all site employees.
  • Work with CCPS Compliance Team to drive continuous improvement at the plant and strengthen internal policies, procedures, and systems as it relates to quality and food safety.
  • Conduct inspections for all cleaned assets for C-Stock batch release.
  • Validate compliance of Master Cleaning Schedule and address with Plant Manager for non-compliance.
  • Responsible for contact with pest control vendor rep and site level pest program.
  • Report issues to CCPS Compliance Team and Plant Manager and monitor progress of pest mitigation plan.
  • Conduct follow up meeting(s) with CCPS Compliance Team and Plant Manager until pest issue is resolved.
  • Validate spare parts and chemical inventory is completed by site personnel on a weekly basis.
  • Assist HSE Specialist with requests to validate HSE processes are being fallowed as well as GAP audit preparation.
  • Validate perpetual inventory preparation is completed by site personnel.
  • Validate compliance of LOT tracing for liners and accessories.
