If you possess these skills, then we want you to join our team! The Quality Compliance Coordinator will report directly to the Deputy Associate Commissioner for Policy and Quality. This position performs highly complex administrative support work for the Quality Management area. The Quality Compliance Coordinator provides advanced research, analysis, and evaluation on complex program and policy issues and initiatives related to SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and CHIP; analyzes and evaluates data and prepares clear/concise documents and reports; provides consultative, technical, and analytical work on program policy to develop options for recommendations and reports related to the Texas Works, Medicaid, and CHIP program; provides advanced consultative & technical services to assess and evaluate program issues. Ensure projects are completed timely and accurately in relation to all federal/state rules and regulations. Provides technical and consultative work in the planning, developing, and implementation of agency programs, policies, and procedures. Additionally, conducts quality management support work involving distributing and managing tasks, correspondence and information, as well as maintaining and organizing files, records, and calendars for the Quality Management area.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of SNAP, TANF, Texas Works Medicaid and/or Medicaid for the Elderly and People with Disabilities policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of agency policies, operating methods, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of organizational operations.
  • Skill in operating computers and applicable computer software.
  • Skill in organization, analysis, and problem solving.
  • Skill in report production.
  • Skill in monitoring and overseeing individual production.
  • Ability to establish, plan, and organize assigned work and monitor production goals.
  • Ability to work independently and make independent judgments.
  • Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze findings.
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Must be a current HHSC Access and Eligibility Services employee.
  • Minimum 24 months experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS
  • Minimum 12 months experience with special projects, assignments, and managing multiple tasks with deadlines.
  • 3 years’ experience in SNAP and Medicaid programs.

Responsibilities

  • Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, implements, and manages projects related to quality activities; research, evaluate, and analyze data; prepares project reports.
  • Provides advanced research, analysis, and evaluation on complex program and policy issues and initiatives related to SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, and CHIP; analyzes and evaluates data and prepares clear/concise documents and reports; provides consultative, technical, and analytical work on program policy to develop options for recommendations and reports related to the Texas Works, Medicaid, and CHIP program; provides advanced consultative & technical services to assess and evaluate program issues. Ensures projects are completed timely and accurately in relation to all federal/state rules and regulations.
  • Collects, organizes, and/or analyzes research findings from studies performed to identify areas requiring improvement and prepares comprehensive reports of findings and recommendations.
  • Oversees projects and assignments section to ensure deadlines are met to meet the needs of the section, agency, and state. Maintains and organizes electronic files, records, and calendars for the Quality Management area
