The Quality Civil Inspector’s main responsibility is to inspect, accept or reject work performed in a particular discipline in compliance with applicable Codes and specifications. Preferred discipline is civil, however, structural, electrical, mechanical or piping may be considered. This role actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values,” and represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” The inspector provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment. They create inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met and make recommendations for corrective action. The inspector applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution, implementing principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability. This position is responsible for maintaining quality standards of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope, aligning quality management function with the performance needs of product lines. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, the inspector performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field, displaying core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills. Additional assignments may be performed per supervisor’s direction.
