Quality Cable & Wire Harness Source Inspector - Level II

Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with extensive experience and local expertise, enabling us to represent our clients on-demand and with greater speed and efficiency than our competitors We’re hiring for a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector position in Southern California. Primarily in the LA and OC areas. The schedule is on first shift, full-time, 4-5 days per week on an as-needed basis. Requirements
- Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
- Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
- Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
- Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
- Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Nice To Haves
- Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620
- Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
- Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
- Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
Responsibilities
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers
- Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
- Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
- Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
- Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
- Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
- Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
- Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
