About The Position

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Participate in the quality sampling systems and procedures to ensure that all required test samples are obtained and prepared for testing. Prepare samples to the specific required sizes for testing utilizing a miter saw, table saw, drill press, and planer. Responsible for assisting manufacturing in the monitoring and assuring of product quality. Routinely tests product characteristics, in process and post production. Graphs, analyzes, records and reports meaningful information from these tests. Promptly reports results of audits/tests/analyses to the appropriate individual; advising whether or not the results are acceptable. Advises production and quality management of observed trends in quality parameters. Supports maintaining and updating test records. Includes data entry of test results into the required databases. Participate in the evaluation and initiation of actions to improve quality performance. Other duties may be assigned. Additional Duties and Responsibilities Must work overtime, holidays and weekends as scheduled. Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic metrology skills with test equipment Reasonable computer skills, especially Microsoft Office/Excel Must have basic math skills Reasonable interpersonal, skills Able to work as a team member with a diverse workforce Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED Must pass the Quality Skills test Ability to read and write Experience using computers and Excel Industrial manufacturing experience preferred ASQ CQT certification preferred Additional Information: Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. Requirements

  • Basic metrology skills with test equipment
