About The Position

This hands-on position supports Ariat International's inbound, in-process, and outbound processes on the operations floor. This role is responsible for inspecting products and packaging items to critical criteria stated by Ariat International. The QA is required to have a high ethic and must be able to escalate any problems/discrepancies as identified. This role involves teamwork with the 3PL company as collaboration for a successful performance. This role will be reporting on-site daily at our office in Haslet, TX.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in QC/QA - preferred of min of 2 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Familiar with QMS terminology
  • Proficient with Windows applications: Excel, PowerPoint the most
  • Ability to work as a team and collaborate with other companies
  • Ability to lift boxes (average of 25 pounds)
  • Ability to work stand for long periods (when needed)

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Manufacturing, Process Optimization, Six Sigma is a plus
  • Preferred - analytical skills to be able to identify root causes

Responsibilities

  • Perform random audits (based on AQL standards) of incoming products to ensure the product listed in the master label matches with products packed by manufacturers and matches with the items database
  • Perform random audits based on AQL standards to products located in storage racks, pickable racks (when applicable), and on products that are in the process, to ensure tag information (UPC) is matched with information in the system to ensure ship the correct part number
  • Perform random audits based on AQL on packages that are in route to shipping to ensure the proper documentation (pack slip, carton content labels, shipping labels) is in place
  • Perform random audits based on AQL on packages that are in route to shipping to ensure the proper package (box or mailers) were used to avoid shipping 'air' to customers and eliminate the risk of damage in transit
  • Perform random audits based on AQL on packages on route to shipping to ensure the proper VAS requirements (when applicable) were applied to products (hangers, MSRP tag, sensors, etc.)
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to provide actions to mitigate the issues found
  • Fill and submit end-of-shift reports using Microsoft tools
