About The Position

Crystal Finishing Systems located in the bustling town of Schofield, WI has an opportunity in our Plastics department as a Quality Assurance Technician. This position works Friday-Sunday from 5:00am-5:00pm. This role plays a critical factor in our success. WHO WE ARE We are a team of over 900, and sales of over $150 million. Our services include aluminum extrusion, fabrication, architectural and industrial finishes, and more. WHAT YOU WILL DO Inspects painted materials for quality issues like pinholes, runs, and streaks; marks products for rework or buffing. Records and enters quality data into designated systems; performs tests such as crosshatch, mil thickness, and gloss. Reports major quality issues to the Department Lead and follows work instructions accurately. Understands the Quality Management System, including handling non-conforming parts and preventative actions. Operates small tools, maintains a clean work area, and ensures efficient workflow. Uses testing materials efficiently, wears required PPE, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of quality inspection standards normally acquired through six (6) months experience in a similar position required.
  • Must have good attention to detail in order to visually identify minute imperfections or defects.
  • Proficiency with computer use including word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Must have good data entry skills and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with small hand tools and quality inspection tools is beneficial.
