About The Position

QA Lab Techs evaluate film quality at various stages of manufacture and are responsible for testing final product for compliance to customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months on the job training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete reports and forms associated with the position: Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for researching jobs in IQS for production.
  • Responsible for testing samples according to the frequency chart for compliance to customer specification.
  • Entering data into the IQS system.
  • Responsible for all lab requests.
  • Communicates with QA assistant for out of spec product.
  • Creates COA’s and sends to customer.
  • Communicates with Production as needed.
  • Generates NCM’s in timely manner and place on roll in the hold area.
  • Responsible for updating all NCM’s.
  • Responsible for releasing all rolls not on hold when the job is completed.
  • Responsible for setting up jobs.
  • Responsible for cleaning up after your shift.
  • Responsible for completing current days work by the end of your shift, no rollover work.
