About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician position at Kelly Services involves performing laboratory testing to ensure that ingredients, final products, and packaging meet quality specifications for a food and beverage manufacturer. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• AS/BS degree in Food Science/Food Technology or a Life Science preferred
• 2+ years related experience in a food or beverage production facility preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing such as pH, solids/moisture, sodium, etc.
• Perform microbiology testing including basic plating in a clean room environment
• Perform destructive aseptic package testing
• Communicate lab data to Quality Supervisor and Operations Shift Leaders
• Accurately prepare and maintain all area paperwork
• Perform laboratory equipment calibrations at specified intervals
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment
• Assist with investigations related to product spoilage
• Perform incubation activities according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
