About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our food products. You will be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and audits throughout the production process to uphold our standards of excellence. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a sanitary and efficient manufacturing environment. *$1.50 Shift Differential for any hours worked between 6pm-6am * Must be flexible for Overtime and Weekends *Production runs six days a week. This role is five days with one rotating day off (Mon–Sat); Sundays are off. Mandatory overtime may be required on scheduled days off.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; additional vocational training or certification in food production or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in food manufacturing or a similar production environment, preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required in the production process.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspection and testing activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions taken.
  • Monitor critical control points and production parameters to identify and address deviations from established standards.
  • Verify that equipment, facilities, and personnel adhere to sanitation standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Assist in the audits and maintenance of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality-related projects and initiatives.
  • Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
